Louisiana and France renew historic agreement

SUMMARY

France and Louisiana are renewing their historic partnership by signing the "Franco-Louisianian Cooperation Agreements."
These agreements, which have enabled the remarkable development of the Francophonie in this region of the United States, are also part of the strategy set out by the President of the French Republic on March 20, 2018, aimed at making French "one of the major world languages of tomorrow and an asset in globalization."
