SUMMARY

On January 31, 2023, Ambassador Philippe Etienne and Consul General François Penguilly presented their 2023 New Year’s wishes to the French community at a well-attended reception held at the French Embassy’s Maison Française. During the reception, they extended an official greeting to six new French citizens living in the Washington consular district, whom they welcomed into our national community. On the eve of his departure from Washington, the Ambassador warmly thanked the representatives of the French community for their contribution to our country’s influence and prestige in the United States and expressed his gratitude to all the employees of the Embassy and the 10 Consulates General for their dedication and commitment to public service.
