Madagascar – Visit by Chrysoula Zacharopoulou (May 15-17, 2023)

Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in Madagascar from May 15 to 17.

The Minister of State will meet with Malagasy authorities to discuss our bilateral priorities. She will travel to Mahajanga where France is taking part in efforts to protect the environment and biodiversity, an area in which we collaborate with Madagascar. She will also visit the Alliance Française in Antananarivo, which ranks among the top Alliances worldwide in terms of French-language learners, and she will meet with Father Pedro, who is working to combat poverty in Madagascar.

She will discuss international and regional issues of common interest with the Malagasy authorities.

Ms. Zacharopoulou will represent Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna at the 37th Council of Ministers of the Indian Ocean Commission, an intergovernmental organization promoting cooperation that is key to the regional integration of our overseas territories and is currently chaired by Madagascar. On that occasion, she will meet with several ministers from countries in the region.


Thailand – Legislative elections (May 15, 2023)
