Olivier Becht on a visit to Switzerland (June 22-23, 2023)

Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be traveling to Switzerland from June 22-23 in order to applaud France and Switzerland’s excellent discussions and cooperation, as well as the trust that Swiss businesses have placed in France.

During his visit, the Minister Delegate will attend several meetings with Swiss businesses and the members of Team France Export in Switzerland, who support French businesses that are looking to expand into the Swiss market. The Minister Delegate will stress France’s support for efforts to strengthen the already close business and trade ties between France and Switzerland.

In addition, Olivier Becht will meet with Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, and will attend the signing ceremony for France’s contribution to the WTO Fisheries Funding Mechanism.

Olivier Becht will visit the French Consulate General in Geneva and meet with French nationals abroad and their elected representatives. Switzerland is home to the largest French expatriate community in the world, with nearly 180,000 French nationals registered there.
