Jones, a distinguished WWII veteran and proud Clemson alumnus, received the French Legion of Honor at the Clemson University Memorial Stadium, in Clemson, South Carolina. The Ceremony was witnessed by approximately 81,500 spectators who celebrated as Consul General Anne-Laure Desjonquères bestowed the prestigious Legion of Honor medal upon Captain Jones.
