Formation of a new cabinet (April 4, 2024)
France applauds the formation of a new Palestinian cabinet, led by Muhammad Mustafa, Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority.
France is prepared to provide the Palestinian government with the support it needs in order to completely fulfill its mission in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, as well as its key role in shaping the future of Gaza. France intends to work closely with the Palestinian government so that reforms can be undertaken to meet the legitimate aspirations of Palestinians.
Ensuring that the Palestinian Authority is credible, legitimate, revitalized, and adequately resourced is essential to the creation of a Palestinian state that exists in peace and security alongside Israel.
