79th anniversary of D-Day – Anne-Laure Desjonquères, Consul General of France in Atlanta celebrates the WWII Veterans

SUMMARY

On the occasion of Veterans Day let us honor the courage and sacrifice of American soldiers who liberated our country during World War II.

To celebrate them, Anne-Laure Desjonquères, Consul General of France in Atlanta, was invited by Delta to express her gratitude to those who fought for our freedom.

During the ceremony, our colleague Pierre Frechette, who volunteered for last summer's trip to Normandy for the 79th anniversary of D-Day, had the chance to see again the veterans he looked after during the trip.

In June 2024, Best Defense Foundation and Delta will once again bring WWII veterans to Normandy to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day with the support of Michelin.

Many thanks to Virginie Durr for making this happen!
