SUMMARY

An exceptional evening celebrating wine, history and culture was held on May 17 at the Résidence de France in Washington, DC.

After words of welcome from Ambassador Laurent Bili, a captivating fireside chat between Fred Ryan, Chairman of the Reagan Presidential Library Foundation Institute, and Stewart McLaurin, President of the White House Historical Association. William Atkinson, National Sales Manager for PortoVino Imports, introduced the exquisite wines of Château La Fleur de Boüard, including their Chardonnay Vin de Pays de l’Atlantique 2021, Lalande-de-Pomerol 2018, and 'Le Plus' Lalande-de-Pomerol 2016. Guillaume Thomas, Founder and CEO of Martingale Cognac, presented their refined and fragrant cognac, a result of over a century of family tradition.

The evening concluded with a reception, wine tastings, and a book signing by Fred Ryan, author of "Wine and the White House: A History," making it a memorable night for all attendees.
