North Korea
Launch of ballistic missiles

France condemns in the strongest possible terms North Korea’s September 12th launch of a salvo of short-range ballistic missiles, which constitutes another violation of the UN Security Council resolutions.

France assures the Republic of Korea and Japan of its full solidarity. France urges North Korea to immediately cease its destabilizing actions, comply with its international obligations without delay, and return to the negotiating table so that it can engage in a process leading to the complete, verifiable, irreversible dismantlement of its nuclear and ballistic programs.

France and its partners are fully committed to ensuring the implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and encourage dialogue among all the parties.

Ukraine
France strongly condemns the sham elections held by Russia in Ukrainian territory

With the recent re-election of a governor in the illegally occupied territory of Crimea, France strongly condemns the elections held by Russia in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in Ukrainian territory. These so-called elections are completely illegitimate and were held in territories that Russia has been illegally occupying for ten years.

France denounces these fake elections and will not recognize the “results.” Moreover, France calls on Russia to immediately cease its war of aggression, give up its imperialist undertaking, and withdraw its troops from the entire Ukrainian territory within its internationally recognized borders.
