SUMMARY
The American Friends of Lafayette and Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education in Washington, D.C. hosted a Lafayette Bicentennial Day at the Embassy of France for 8th Graders from Rochambeau, The French International School, and 4th Graders from Hyde-Addison Elementary School. The students learned from historians, experts, French military officers and authors about the Franco-American Alliance, Lafayette's role in the American Revolution and careers in history and museum fields. A special thank you to Robert Kelly and Chuck Schwam of the AFL; Sidney Ripley of the Gloucester Museum of History; authors Bruce Mowday, Selen Castrovilla and Susan Joy; and our French Military Officers.
