SUMMARY
On July 29, 2022, Seaman Stephen "Pops" Nemeth, veteran of the Armed Guard, was honored by Consul Vincent Floreani with the French Legion of Honor, France's highest distinction! During a moving ceremony hosted by the American Legion Post 10 Kissimmee, Fl, France paid tribute to Mr. Nemeth’s actions during D-Day, the Battle of Normandy, and ultimately for peace.
