Emmanuel Macron decorates WW2 Veteran from Georgia with Legion of Honor

SUMMARY

Yesterday, the French President Emmanuel Macron decorated WWII veterans in Washington DC. Among them, 101 year-old veteran Buddy Reynolds was awarded with the Legion of Honor. He was born in Lithonia, Georgia and grew up between there and Union, South Carolina. Congratulations and thank you again for your service! Last June Buddy Reynolds had a chance to return to Normandy with 28 others WWII veterans to commemorate the 78th anniversary of D-day. This initiative was organized by Delta Air Lines and Best Defense Foundation and will be continued in 2023 and 2024. On the top right picture Buddy Reynolds is with Virginie Durr, Enterprise Sales Manager at Delta Air Lines and Foreign Trade Advisor to the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Donnie Edwards, President of the Best Defense Foundation. Many thanks Virginie Durr for sharing these pictures and video.
