SUMMARY
The Comité Tricolore, a federation of French and Franco-American associations in the Washington D.C. area, presented the Victor Obadia 2022 Humanitarian Trophy to Mrs. Anne Stein-Schneider on December 12, 2022, in recognition of her remarkable commitment to the French community for more than 60 years. The ceremony took place at the Maison Française in the presence of the family and friends of Victor Obadia and Anne Stein-Schneider, the Consul General, the President of the Comité Tricolore Eve Chauchard, and many representatives of the French and Franco-American community in the Washington DC area. After a speech by the Consul General, Stéphanie Obadia, Jean-Philippe Krukowicz and Jacqueline Abrams, Eve Chauchard presented the trophy to Mrs. Stein-Schneider. This trophy, which is being awarded for the second time, honors the memory of Victor Obadia, founder and president of the Comité Tricolore for 10 years, who played an important role in the French and Franco-American community in Washington and was at the origin of many initiatives of mutual aid and solidarity within it. Since its foundation, the Tricolor Committee has played an essential role, alongside the Consulate, in animating the French and Franco-American community in the district and in helping French people in difficulty.
