SUMMARY

From November 14 to 18, 2022, the Homeland Security Department (SSI) of the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., hosted a visit by Deputy Chief of RAID Thierry Sabot. This elite unit responded to the invitation of its American counterparts from the FBI, the US Secret Service, the AFOSI (Air Force Office of Special Investigations) in Washington and the NYPD in New York City.

With these partners, the themes of crisis negotiation, intervention techniques, anti-drone warfare, operational crisis management, anti-terrorist warfare as well as the securing of major events were presented and discussed between specialists.

New perspectives of exchanges have emerged at the dawn of preparations in France for major events such as the Rugby World Cup in the fall of 2023 and the Olympic Games in Paris in the summer of 2024.
