Moving into a “war economy”
Moving into a “war economy”
Moving into a “war economy”
SUMMARY
France is ramping up its industry production model to move into a "war economy." This means creating more, faster, at reasonable cost to:
• Keep on supporting Ukraine
• Modernize its armed forces
• Strengthen its ability to export
• Guarantee its sovereignty
The first results are already here. Before the end of the year, France will double the production rate of Ground Master radars, Mistral surface-to-air missiles and the Caesar guns. Eight production units are also being relocated in France.
Lastly, France has joined @EUDefenceAgency's Collaborative Procurement of Ammunition project, which quickly and jointly procures ammunition by aggregating, coordinating and agreeing contracts with the European defense industry.
