Results of the second round of the presidential election (November 3, 2024)
France congratulates Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, on winning a second term in a runoff election marked by high voter turnout.
The Moldovan people thereby confirmed their desire for a free, democratic and fully European Moldova, despite repeated, coordinated destabilization efforts.
France stands squarely with Moldova to assist it on its path toward EU membership and to work together to strengthen our bilateral relationship.
