SUMMARY
On November 15, 2022, the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society hosted the official inauguration ceremony of the reconstruction of its first log schoolhouse (1827-48) and its designation as historic landmark.
Consul General of France Yannick Tagand joined the celebration alongside Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Schore, who played a critical role throughout the various phases of this project. The representatives of the Chicago Chapter of the French Heritage Society, which contributed to the effort, were also in attendance.
