France is among the nations that signed the Ljubljana-Hague Convention on International Cooperation in the Investigation and Prosecution of the Crime of Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, War Crimes and other International Crimes on February 14.

This agreement represents a major milestone in the fight against impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes. It will help strengthen legal cooperation between states on a long-term basis, as well as the work of the International Criminal Court.

In keeping with its longstanding commitments, France will continue its resolute efforts to combat impunity, a fight that is essential to obtaining justice for victims. It calls on all nations to sign and ratify this convention.
