SUMMARY

On November 10, 2023, the Embassy of France marked Remembrance Day at a ceremony organized by the Defense Office and led by Deputy Chief of Mission Aurélie Bonal. In the course of the ceremony, students from the Lycée Rochambeau read letters written by soldiers serving in WWI; Aurélie Bonal read a message from Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces, and Patricia Mirallès, Minister of State for Veterans and Remembrance; and those gathered paid tribute to the memory of soldiers who died for France. Defense Attaché Major General Bertrand Jardin also awarded decorations to U.S. and French military personnel.
